Came for the crab rolls (harder to find than lobster rolls) and was not disappointed. Better than I'd had on Fisherman's Wharf.

Serendipity. Sometimes, the stars align and you get to try something not readily available. On a recent weekday afternoon, I went to CVS at Hyde and California to use several coupons for items that were not available at my neighborhood one. After leaving my car, I noticed a food truck parked on Hyde and one customer waiting for her food. Being a curious George, I walked over and took a look at the menu. With my mouth watering, I told the business owner that I would be back after finishing my shopping at CVS. After putting my purchase in my car, I returned and ordered two items for my lunch. I tried a large clam chowder (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=6CmPCO9I9odgIUBKn60H9g&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q) which didn't look like much when I opened the lid; but, when jazzed up (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=sx6Exp53kdipWUuX9uZJ0g&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q). l with Tabasco and reheated in my microwave, I couldn't stop spooning it in my mouth. It was nice that they provided the oysters crackers to liven up the textures. I also tried their namesake lobster roll (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=Zsnfmr_Po-GHUW7-S91n8A&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q); like the chowder, it didn't look like much and the portions seemed on the small side Once, I alternated bites with the chowder, I was full after eating half of the sandwich; it's likely do to the deceivingly generous amount of lobster meat and the buttery toast. Here's how the other half deconstructed roll (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=tfDSIiIcjBgkQGHJ0NG9_A&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q). Don't get me wrong in thinking that this is a cheap eats lunch or my Asian instincts of bang for bucks meal. The quality and plentiful amount of lobster does justify the price in my book. Will be back when the stars align again and I do recommend this if you come across it.

This is the final review for year 2018. I end it with a lobster roll review. Of course, you know, I have lobster roll habits and cravings in and around SF. This lobster roll was really good. The lobster was meaty and fresh. The lobster had a good sauce. The bread was decent. However, it was a snack and not filling enough. The size of the lobster roll could be bigger. It was $15. Interesting food truck. If you want to sell lobster rolls, go for it. Happy New Year 2019.
